To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of prepositions and commands

Procedure (45-55 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Review Prepositions Homework assignment was take pictures with phone of something IN, UNDER, ON and WITH.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Pg. 15 - exposure to command words/ Have students repeat and act these out. Have each student come and command the class.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Pg. 16 Part 2 - Listen and circle what you hear. (#1-7) After checking Have the students give these commands to each other. Part 3 - Listen and write.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Pg. 18 - Using picture prompts - have the students say what is happening in the photos. Use photos for vocabulary from this week and from the prepositions last week. Snowman Game - mix up the teams

Homework (8-10 minutes) • To provide practice and check on students' production and use of language

Give out study sheet for the quiz next week Explain that they will need to be able to read, write and speak all of these words and phrases.
