Procedure (30-45 minutes)
The teacher puts students in four groups. Each group receives and area name (transport, communication, health, energy). Ss have 5 mins to think of technologies humans are trying to develop in these areas. When 5 mins finish, they share their findings with their friends.
The T asks some pre-watching questions to the students (5 mins). Students watch a video about phone-hacking. Before they start watching the video, the T shares a game link with the ss. As they watch the video, they answer the questions on the link (5 mins). Later, the T puts ss in groups and they try to work out meanings of new words from the context. Students firstly match the words with the meanings and then they use 2 of these new words in sentences. T shares a Padlet link with the ss and they post their sentences on Padlet but the t asks ss to blank out the new words. The other students will try to find these words and complete the sentences. (15 mins.)
Students work in pairs and discuss the questions about phone security and AR.
