Procedure (34-45 minutes)
I will greet the Ss. I will ask Ss to discuss the following question: 1. Do you know somebody who has achieved something great? I will nominate one or two Ss to give opinions.
I will show students some pictures related to prestigious, juggler and supergran. Then, I will ask Ss to read the words and match them with the pictures. MEANING: a. Prestigious b. A juggler c. A supergran. FORM: 1. I will elicit the Form from the Ss. PRONUNCIATION: 1. I will model words. 2. I will ask Ss to identify the number of syllables and stress. 3. I will ask Ss to drill.
I will ask Ss to read the texts quickly and match them with the headings on Google Forms. I will give Ss 3 minutes only and this will be individual work. I will conduct feedback on the task.
I will ask Ss to read statements for 1 minute. They will read the text and determine if these are T/F on Google Forms for 4 minutes. I will ask Ss to justify their answers. I will ask Ss to share their answers in pairs via Breakout Rooms. I will check their answers in an Open Class feedback.
I will ask Ss to put the following five achievements in order for 4 minutes considering: 1= the most impressive to 5= the least worthwhile (on Jamboard). They will work in pairs and decide on the order justifying their reasons. - PRESTIGIOUS BUSINESS AWARD FOR FABIOLA. - PRODIGIES GRADUATE. - JUGGLER BREAKS WORLD RECORD. - SUPERGRAN SAFELY HOME. - ANOTHER FIRST FOR HALLE. I will conduct feedback on the task. Finally, I will check Error correction from what the Ss expressed.
