Procedure (18-33 minutes)
Ask students to talk about their day, starting randomly with one of them. Then the first student should give another student a compliment on what they are wearing that session. Next the second student is supposed to talk about their day and after finishing, give a random student a compliment on their clothes. This goes on until all students talk about their day and give others a compliment.
Ask students to look under their desk or the back of their seats to find a picture. They should guess the name of each piece of clothes and try to match them with the words written on the board. Then stick each picture above related word on the board.
Ask students to read each word on the board out loud. The teacher makes sure students pronounce the words right and clarifies their meaning if needed.
Ask Ss to sit back to back and hand each one of them out a picture of people wearing different clothes. Each group of Ss should guess what is the person in their partner’s picture wearing. Then one or two of the Ss can explain their answers.
Give Ss some photo cards and ask them to stand up and search for another student who has the same photo card in their hands. Students then have some time to discuss what they wear in different situations and places based on the options written behind their photo cards. Ss should take notes about what their partner says so that they can report it back to the class.
Ask Ss to sit in a circle with one student in the middle. The student in the middle has a few moments to describe something they wear, not mentioning the place or situation. Other Ss can guess what is the place or situation. The first one to guess is the winner of that round. Ss take turns and finally, the one with more points wins a cookie/chocolate.
Write the incorrect sentences on the board. Pair Ss up and ask them to find the problem with the sentences. Finally check whether or not they can correct the sentences.
