Procedure (45 minutes)
Students look at the photos and discuss the questions: 1. Which city do you think it is? 2. How many years do you think separate the two photos? 3. What are the most important differences?
Students listen to the audio and then take notes on what the speaker says about: - what changes have taken place; - what's happening now.
Students look at the list of language for speaking and provide their own examples.
Students talk about changes in their own towns or cities in pairs.
Teacher types students' errors on whiteboard for positive feedback and correction of errors in the post activity speaking stage.
