Procedure (39-46 minutes)
T shares screen in PPP with two questions: Where was your last holiday? Did you enjoy it? T nominate 2 students to participate.
T instructs they will read a postcard about a holiday to South Korea for 2 minute and answer the question: What is the postcard about? T ask ICQ's: If you have only one minute, you will read for general idea or detail? General. How many minutes do you have? 2 min. Ss read and answer individually. T nominate 1 student to answer. Then ask another if they agree with the answer. Below that question there will be the layout activity. T instructs: 'We will do other idea in the same link, look at the sections of the postcard and answer to the questions.I will send you to BOR to do it in pairs, you have 2 mins'. Ss work in BOR, T monitors. OCF.
T shares screen with the meaning activity. T instructs: 'Now for this activity, look at the phrases and match them with what they mean, let's do the first one together' T demo the first one, 'you will do this in pairs in BOR for 3 mins' T sends the link in the chat box. T ask ICQ's: Will you do this in trios or pairs? Pairs. How much time do you have? 3 min. T sends them to BOR and monitors. OCF. T shares screen in PPP and goes through form by eliciting the components of the sentences, for example: I'm writing to you from South Korea. T: 'Tell me students, which part we cannot change? S:I'm writing you from..' T: Okay, what comes next' S: a noun. T: What other noun we can have? S: Paris... T asks for the appropiacy of the sentence. 'is it formal, neutral or informal? Formal. T repeats procedure with the rest of the sentences.
T shares screen in PPP T instructs: 'Now imagine a holiday in city you want to visit, write a postcard to your parent or a friend. You will work on this individually for 15 mins'. T reminds the structure of the postcard with elicitation, for example: Do you remember the sections of the postcard? Yes. With which one you start? With the greeting. What is next? The body. And last? The closing and signature. Ss work individually. T monitors.
T instructs: 'Now you will read and check one of your peer's postcard with a checklist I will send you, You will do this in BOR for 5 mins. T conducts Content Feedback that comes from ss. 'What was about your peer's postcard? T conducts DEC.
