To provide specific information listening practice using an audio about finding the thief and a video about an old women

Procedure (35-45 minutes)
-Ss will be asked about their profile photos on social networking sites and why did they choose it? -Two facebook account will be shown. -Ss will be asked to work with their partners and guess their jobs, personality etc. -I will try elicit "judging"
-Students will be given the photos of 4 men.(One of them is thief) -They will be asked to find the thief through listening the audio. -They are going to check your answers with their partner. -Answer will be shown.
-A photo of old woman will be shown. -Ss are going to talk with their partners and guess her job, personality etc. -Her dance performance will be shown. -They will be given HOs(questions about her life) -First, they will read the questions. -I will play the video and they will try to answer those questions. -They will check their answers with their partner. -Answer key will be given.
-Pictures of 4 different people will be shown. -They will be given a HOs including 6 jobs(2 extra) -Ss will be asked to match the photos with the pictures and write why. -They are going to share their ideas with their partners. -They will stick their HOs on the board and see if they have the same answers. -Correct answers will be shown on the board.
-Students will be given a paper with a picture of a person on it. -They will be asked to give him/her a name. -Next ask them to write five adjectives to describe the person's character. -Now dictate the following sentence to the ss: 'It was a dark and stormy night and'. Stop at this point and ask them to write in the name of the person they have drawn and followed by the word 'was'. -Then ask the students to complete the sentence from their imagination and add two more sentences and pass it to his/her partner. -The students then read through the information and the beginning of the story and then add one more sentence to it. -Put the stories up around the class and get the students to read them all and decide which is best.
