To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of the most important and the worst person in their life
Procedure (34-44 minutes)
I welcome the students, ask them how they are and share the screen. i tell them the best person in my life is my mum because she is the kindest and the most polite. She always treats people well and she cares about everyone. I ask students about them.
I share the form with them in the chat and in my screen. I tell them to read the text and answer the questions individually. They have 3-4 min I show them the answers and ask them if they have questions (1-2 min)
I share my screen with students and tell them here are some sentences that we saw in the text. Read them again before we continue to the task.
With my screen shared I tell them: "Now you will answer the questions individually. Let's do together some examples. Luis which word finishes in -est? etc" (1 min) Now please answer the questions. You have 6 minutes. Then I show them the answers and ask for questions giving feedback. (1-2 minutes) I use the word to sum up the important forms/spelling asking in what vowel they end and how many syllables the adjectives have (2 min) I use the examples in the word for pronunciation. I pronounce, ask which words are stressed, which syllable is stressed and make them drill after me twice all together and then individually. (4 minutes)
I share my screen and the link to the chat. We do the first example together I tell students to complete the sentences individually. I give them 5 minutes. I put them to BOR to check answers. 2 min I call them to the main session, shows them the answers and ask for questions,
I share my screen and the link to the chat. I tell students to think about the questions for 1-2 minutes using superlatives. I put them to BOR in groups of 3 and tell them to talk and ask each other. If there is time I switch them with new classmates. If not in the groups of 3 they all have time to talk. I monitor the rooms and jot down mistakes. (5 minutes) I call them back, say what interesting things I heard etc and go on to do DEC for (3-4 min) I thank the students and pass on to Miriam.
