Procedure (29-45 minutes)
Teacher tells the Ss that he will reflect a photo on the board. He asks the Ss to command on the photo and try to guess what the topic is about. Then the teacher reflects the photo on the board.Ss are in groups of three or four and they discuss about the photo. Tecaher monitors. Later teacher gets some ideas from the groups.
The teachers shows the folded handout in his hand and tells the Ss not to unfold until the teacher tells them to do.Teacher tells the Ss to listen to the man talking about his memorable moment and choose the sentence that isn't stated in the speech.Ss listen and work individually and then they peer check.The teacher monitors during the peer check. Teacher gets the answer from Ss later.
Teacher asks Ss to listen to the man's speech again and order the key phrases that he uses in his speech. Ss work individually and order the key phrases while listening.Then Ss peer check. Teacher monitors. Later Ss tell the teacher their answers. Teacher reflects the correct order to make sure each student gets them correct.Then the teacher focus on the meaning,form and the pronunciation of .the phrases.Tecaher asks CCQs to make the meaning clear. Is a strong memory good or bad? Do you want to be in an embarrasing situation? Is " regret " a positive or a negative verb?
The teacher reflects some questions on the board and checks whether the Ss know some of the specific vocabulary in the questions. tecaher uses CCQs to make the meaning clear. Then teacher asks Ss to choose a question and take some notes from the key phrases that they have just covered. Ss choose a question and start taking notes for their further activity.Tecaher monitors.
Teacher groups the Ss in 4 or 3 and asks them to talk about their memorable moments. Teacher reminds the Ss to use their notes from the previous activity.Ss work in groups and tell each other about their memorable moments.Teacher monitors and gives delayed feedbackif neccessary.
