In this lesson, Students will learn about present perfect tense and its uses. the use of for, since and yet will be taught through life experiences, past to present and recent events.

To provide listening practice using a song lyrics with Present Perfect tense
Procedure (46-45 minutes)
Warm up (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Speak of life experiences and past events that have influenced recent actions.
Introduction to the Target Language (5 minutes) • Present the present perfect tense and some of the adverbs used with this tense through a text.
The students read the text and answer some questions about it
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
Students learn the usage of for and since in the context provided
Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
Students complete the exercises in HO#2
Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and have them get a little production practice
Students Talk to each other and ask questions using the present perfect tense
Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
Students practice the lesson using the "Have you ever...?" game
Listening Practice (6 minutes) • To provide students with a fun way of practicing their listening skills
Students listen to a song with lyrics provided and try to capture the meaning of it in real-time
