Procedure (38-54 minutes)
At this level I ask students some questions about what day is today, what day was yesterday,....and every one should tell me where were they yesterday at a specific time.
Students are provided with an exercise with some gaps,and an audio,they should listen and fill the gaps with (was, were).
I write on the board the correct patter of past simple with was&were ,and explain negative and question form.and ask them some questions to get them think more about the situation s that we use was& were.And make them talk together 2by2 about past time,and teach them time markers.

This stage students are provided with some photos that they probably know.Iget them talk together about the person in photo, I write some words on board to guide them .
At this stage I divide them in two groups ask each other using when &where were they born,or how old were they when they could walk,.... .
