Description

In this lesson students are going to learn some vocabulary about rooms and furniture in houses and learn there is / there are in grammar part. the lesson is designed according to PPP format. it's going to start with warm up and continue with presentation and production parts.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In warmer part students are going to talk about what they can see in their classroom and then talk about their house with using there is/there are structure.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

A picture will be shown to students and they have to find and say what they can see and name the items in the picture and make sentences.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

At this stage the pronounciation is important. the students will be asked to repeat the words. In grammar part singular and plural words will be focused and the usage of there is/there are

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

A worksheet will be used in this stage and they have to fill the gaps and check the answers in pair or group works.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

At this stage students are free to talk about their room or which one is their favorite rooms or what they do in each rooms.
