Procedure

Lead-in (5-7 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

At this stage I am going to talk about my daily routines using the target language (adverbs of frequency). then I am going to engage students to do the same.

Reading (8-10 minutes) • To concept check students and make them ready for production part

I've prepared a text about two friends that are talking about their daily routines. First I'm going to ask the students to skim the text and underline all the adverbs of frequency that they can find. Then I'm going ask them to read the text again and in pairs finish the exercises below the page.

Practice (5-6 minutes) • Engaging students to pay attention to the new words through doing this task

I am going ask them to open their class books and in pairs match the verbs with the words or phrases. And then I'm going play the track for them to check their answers. And then one by one read the answers for the class.

Pre-production (3-5 minutes) • Get students ready to do the exercise and make them familiar with pronunciation of the words

I'm going to play the audio track for the students and ask them to repeat the questions together in a rhythm.

Production (10-12 minutes) • To make the students use the target language and get their feedback

I'm going to ask the students to one by one check the questionnaire and then two by two I will pair them with each other and then I'll ask them to do an ask and answer together and finally I will ask one question from each of them to get their feedback.
