To provide clarification of adverbs of manner in the context of a text about the daily routines of a girl their age.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of sports
Procedure (48-75 minutes)
Ask students if they'd like to become Olympic champions/professional athletes to start a discussion. Mention the Winter Olympics
Display the worksheet and invite them to go through the text and work on task 1.
1-Have the students go through the text again and work on the task individually 2-Ask them to work in pairs 3-Open classroom feedback
1-Ask the students to have a look at task 3 and invite them to think silently. 2-In smaller groups have them discuss the task together 3-OC feedback
1-Have the students look at the words in bold and highlight them 2-Ask them if they recognize any of the words 3-On the jamboard presentation, remind them of the adverbs of frequency 4-Explain the difference between the adv of frequency and the adv of manner
1-On the shared screen show the students how the basic adv of manner are formed 2-Show them the irregularities 3-Ask them to give more example to check their comprehension
