Description
In this lesson, students learn about new vocabulary words through guided discovery based on task discussion, reading and listening,followed by relate their stories to the task, finally some practices.

Main Aims

To provide clarification of holiday and culture words in the context of travel,family,food.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide inference listening practice using a text about special food, tradition food,countries in the context of travel,family,food.
Procedure (31-41 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
in groups students discuss what is their special holidays and their favorite food.
Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
student read aloud a book a bout different holidays and tradition by travelling around the world.
Report (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went
students share their responses in groups then some of them can share aloud.
Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language
elicit the meaning and pronunciation of some words in the book, writ the words on the board with the syllable and stress.
Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language
give the students activities to work on like fill the missing words, rearrange the word letters, put the verb in the right form
