Main Aims

To develop students skills of listening for gist and detail by using a song in the context of Sports.

Subsidiary Aims

To enable students to understand vocabulary items related to Sports (run, hop, jump and skip)

Procedure (5-10 minutes)

Warmer/Starter (0-1 minutes) • To get attention of the students and prepare them for the lesson

Hello hello Anna, James, Charlotte, George and Marry. How are you all? Good. Let's sing Hello...(Play song)

Lead-in (0-1 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Clapping. Very good all of you. Today, we have a new friend in our class. Mr. Panda. Hi Mr. Panda. (Show picture of the Panda) How are you? Panda: Great (grave voice) Good. Okay Mr. Panda can you sing a song for us? Panda: Sure Play Song.

While-Listening #1 (1-2 minutes) • For learners to get an overview of the text
