Materials
Main Aims
-
To provide clarification of Dynamic verbs in the context of daily activities
Subsidiary Aims
-
To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of daily activities
Procedure (15-25 minutes)
I'll start with a kind of exercise as a warm-up activity to able each one to figure out the true meaning of each verb. I'll provide examples for each one to be able how to use new words in their sentences. For example I'll say “I can run very well Can you run?” (and I'll show them running with the body language the main meaning of running ) And they have to answer with yes I can run Or No I can't run.
I'll show students how to make their sentences and I'll listen to them to figure out their mistakes and correct them after their talking through explaining the structure. Then, I'll ask them questions by "can". Students will be required to think about themselves and practice to talk about their abilities. Moreover, i will tell them the right pronunciation of can and also can not.
I'll ask questions of each one what things they can do and they have to tell me both sides of themselves what they can do or they can't And I'll ask them to show us; for instance, If she/he can sing a song so they should sing a song or If she/he can draw a picture, I'll tell them to draw in a fun way. (they learned the usage of new vocabulary by having fun)
I want them to write me five sentences in different forms (question form, positive form, and negative form) about their ability and send it to me.
