In this lesson, students will learn about the usage of Can and Have to, their differences and the way you write them. Starting with an explanation and further using graphic resources and activities to cement the learning

To provide clarification of modal verbs in the context of obligations and possibilities

To provide detailed and specific information listening practice using videos and texts about modal verbs
Procedure (19-31 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (1-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Greet the students and tell them about the topic of the day
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
Explan the topic, using examples and information found in the book and the presentation, as well as using the audios and videos to give more context
Productive Task(s) (5-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Give the students some previously chosen activities to work with, this to make sure they understood the topic
Feedback and Error Correction (5-8 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
Have a group feedback session, to correct mistakes and make sure they have the correct information
