Procedure (34-51 minutes)
• T. shows a jambord to students, Teaches asks students if they have bought anything online on the last year • If needed teacher models some examples: I bought a watch • T. breaks ss in break out rooms to talk about it (1- 2 min) • SS share in open class feedback
• T. shares a google site link • T. explains to Ss. they will read a text • SS answer the three questions on the first form of the site. • Ss. will check their answers in pairs. (Ss. will work in breakout rooms if possible) (2 min - PW) • Ss. will share their answers with the whole class. (if time allows) T. asks why they give their particular answers. (2 min) • Teacher asks srudents about the lay out of the paragraph • T. asks students to answer the Lay out task in small groups (2 min) • Teacher nominates students to answer the question • Teacher asks students about the words in bold
• Teacher shares the link to a presentation • Teacher connects the first answer with the image. • Teacher asks students to connect the colored lines with the correct image • Teacher checks meaning with ccqs “Is it positive or negative? Is a 1000 dollar phone inexpensive? are ugly sweaters sleek? • T asks students which words are opposites to one another. • T. Changes to the form slide • Teacher asks students if the word is an adjective a noun or a verb • T. Answers the first one if needed. • T. Chooses ss to participate. (If time allows t asks ss why they chose the answers) • Teacher shows the appropriacy slide
• T. shares a link to a google doc where students will write their own review using the adjectives presented in class. • T. reads the instructions • T. shares the screen to show some useful phrases. • T. Monitors for mistakes
• T. shares link a checklist on the Google doc so that students may give each other feedback • T. explains the checklist and asks students to give feedback to one another. • T. brakes ss into break out rooms AFTER explanation • T. monitors for mistakes
After the Follow-up T. will nominate some Ss. to share what they talked about. T. uses on zoom chat box to write down mistakes heard during the follow up and correct them with the Ss.
