Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets SS T shows a slide with the question ”What's the best age to have children? "Why?" T tells Ss "you will discuss this question with your partners in the BORs". T sends Ss to BORs for 2 min Then, T conducts OCFB

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Gist activity (Prediction) T shows Ss a photo of a family, then T asks "How do the parents feel?" T tells Ss "Look at their faces. Are they happy, sad?" T tells Ss "you will talk about it for 1 minute in the BORs" T provides some words so Ss don't spend too much time thinking. Then, T asks some Ss for their opinion. After that, T tells Ss "Now, we will listen to a recording to check our answers" After the first time listening, T gives Ss feedback very briefly For the intensive activity, T shows students a google document with some statements from the audio. T tells Ss "you need to tell me who said these ideas, Anna or Martin" T plays recording again After the activity Ss are sent to BORs for 1 minute to compare their answers Then at OCFB, T asks some students to give their answers.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

T shows a slide (meaning) with the words too, too much, too many, not enough and two definitions: "more than we want and less than we want" T tells Ss " Look at the word TOO, what does it mean?, what's the idea?: More than we want or less than we want? Ss may answer "more than we want" T tells Ss "Excellent" T the asks, what about "too much", Ss answer. Then T asks What about too many? What about not enough? T checks answers After that, T shows another slide (form) with the patterns to use these words. T also provides the sentences from the listening exercise as a guide. T tells Ss, "now we have the structure of these expressions. Check the sentences on the right to complete the patterns". T gives an example "Look at the word TOO. What's next? T points out the sentences with the expression TOO LATE. What's after TOO? Is it a verb? A noun? An adjective? Ss answer. Then T tells Ss to do the same with the other patterns. Then T coducts OCFB After that, T shows another slide (pronunciation) and asks Ss to listen and repeat T also points out stress

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

T shows Ss an image with an exercise T tells Ss "in this exercise you need to write the correct word to complete the sentence. Check the words after or before the space to get right answer". T provides an example and also the patterns so Ss get the correct idea T tells Ss "you have 2 min" Then, T sends Ss to BORs to compare answers Afterwards, T asks some Ss to give their answers and asks other Ss if they agree or disagree

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T shows a slide with the previous sentences and asks Ss "Which ideas do you agree or disagree with?" T sends Ss to BORs for 3-4 minutes Then T conducts OCFB
