In this lesson, ss will learn new vocabulary in the context of social behavour.

Main Aims

  • To provide ss new vocabulary in the context of social behaviour.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To speak using the new vocabulary

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1- I will present a picture of a wedding party.. 2- I will ask ss " if you are invited to a wedding party, what are you going to wear? 3- I will get ss into breakout rooms to discuss 4- when ss got out, I will ask about their peers' opinions.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Ex 1 1- I will ask ss to answer questions in Ex1 2- I will get ss to get into breakout rooms to discuss their answers. 3- I will give ss feedback when the got out.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

I will answer the text to introduce the new vocab. I will present the new vocabulary * dress up * book in advance *pick up *give a lift * split a bill

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Workbook page 55 1- I will ask ss to complete the crossword. 2- I will get ss into breakout rooms to discuss their answers 3- I will mentor for mistakes and help ss. 4- when ss got out , I will provide them with answers. 5- I will discuss the difficult words if they have.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

1- I will present 5 questions to discuss 2- I will get ss into breakout rooms. 3- I will monitor ss in the breakout rooms to give them feedback and error correction. 4- when ss get out , I will give them feedback.
