To provide fluency speaking practice in a dialogue, in the context of around my school.
Procedure (47-17 minutes)
1. In pairs, the students will attempt to draw a map of the school. 2. They will show their maps to each other, then decide which map is more accurate.
1. The students will look at the pictures and try to guess the names of the places without writing. 2. The students will share their answers/guesses with me. 3. In the process, I will provide support on the emerging language and encourage self-correction.
After the students have tried to guess the words, I will then start drawing their attention to the following: 1. Meaning: eliciting the meaning by asking questions and asking CCQs. 2. Pronunciation: IPA and Chorally drilling. 3. Mentioning the type of the word and drawing attention to the form.
1. In pairs, the students will begin picking pictures randomly from the box at this stage. 2. They will ask each other the following questions: a. Where are you? b. What are you doing? 3. The students have to provide complete answers.
At this stage, I'll provide feedback on fluency and accuracy.
