Introduce reporting verbs in a strange and fake news context

To provide specific information listening practice using a text about odd news in the context of fake news
Procedure (33-43 minutes)
Students will discuss the next question in BOR's: What fake news have you heard? How did you learn about these news? Then ask 1 students to share his answer.
Students will read the questions of a gap filling form and will then complete the answers individually as they listen. OCFB after.
Students will complete a matching task of each verb's meaning and pronunciation. After the tasks ending, a choral pronunciation drill will take place, and individual in some cases. Second students will, as a group see 6 example sentences on reporting verbs and will look closely at them for 1-2 minutes, after, also as a group, form will be elicited, regarding verb tense and position as well as subject when needed. Sentence stress will also be elicited, if possible, here. Thirdly, answers will be elicited, if possible, on how to make the sentences into negative, without changing the reporting verb, also as a group and with the same sentences as before they will be asked to change them into negative.
Students will make a gap filling activity to choose between two options with the verbs previously used in the group practice. OCFB after on wrong answers.
Students will make a story in pairs about a conversation they witnessed using the TL. OCFB after.
