Description

In this lesson the student is going to learn how to say what she wants to be when she grows up and what the members of her familiar using the verb to be through lexical items.

Materials

Abc Traveller beginner student's book
Abc Traveller beginner workbook
Abc White board

Main Aims

  • In this lesson the student is going to learn what other people do and what she wants to be when she grows up.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To learn lexical items about rofessions.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage student.

Review with the students the wh questions

1st cycle - writing and speaking. (20-25 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Pre -task: Ask the studnet to write in the board the professions that she knows in English. While - task:Teach the student the most common profession in English. Post - task: teach the studnet how to say what pople do and ask her to say what some of the members of her family do.

2nd cycle - writing, speaking and listening. (20-25 minutes) • To provide students with challenging task to check that they have understood the first part of the lesson and to develop her ability to identify the lexical items of profession.

Pre - task Listen and practice the vocabulary on page 16 of the student's book. While task:The student is going to read the text on page 16 and solve exercise B with the information of the reading. Post - task: The student is going to solve the crossword on page 12 of the workbook.

Cooler (3-5 minutes) • To finish the lesson.

Make sure that the student doesn't have any doubts about the topic and assign some homework,
