Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Lead-in Ask students the following questions accompanied by images to help them grasp the meaning of the key words with the questions. Are you very ticklish? (Answer: Personal) CCQ: Do you need to touch a person to tickle them? Do you often get hiccups? How do you usually cure them? (Answer: Personal) CCQ: Are hiccups voluntary or involuntary?

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Work on meaning of bald,sleepwalk, yawn, bless. Google Slide: nominate Ss to match words to photos and definitions, using arrows. Bald /bɔld/ Does a bald person have hair?
