Procedure (29-39 minutes)
I will write some question on the board and let my students answer. I will tell them the last one is new. What`s the word for a person who is open and kind? Thinks a lot and does not make jokes ? Likes arguing and can be violent ? Does not talk much ? Dresses well ? Thinks their partner is interested in another person ? (answers) friendly serious aggressive quiet stylish jealous _I will show them a picture for the word jealous and try to elicit the meaning from them.
* Allow the ss to check the meaning of the used words and phrases before exposing the ss to the topic. *Create interest by focusing ss' attention on the photos. *Discuss briefly what issues they deal with. *Check the meaning of the word jealous and how to write it.
_Elicit the meaning for the next words : holiday brochures : magazines with photos and information. fun :enjoyable and entertaining. replied:answered. silence : when there is no noisy and nobody is talking. picked up :took from the floor or from a table . - Highlight the meaning, pronunciation, form, and phonological features of the given phrases, words, or sentences. -Concept check the meaning of any word you may feel the ss are still not sure about it. -Drill the target language. -write or display the meaning, form and pronunciation on the board.
Each student should express their opinion about today`s topic and express whether they are jealous or not.
I will let my Ss bring a paper and write about a time when they were jealous of their partner , a friend of even a brother.
