For this Lead-in I will ask Ss to look at a slide of three 50 Word Stories and I will ask them What they think they have in common.

Ss will read the four stories individually, go to BORs in teams and find a suitable ending for each story. Thy will come back to the main room where we will conduct class feedback.

They will be asked to look at another 4 adverbs for a pronunciation activity where they must detemine which word goes in which column based on the stressed syllable. Ss will also get a handout where they will be asked to match adverbs to their meanings.

Ss will be asked to go to BORs to reread the text and come up with Adverbs of TIme, Manner, Degree, Comment and Frequency. When they return to the meeting room for feedback I will ask them where they found them in the sentence. Ss will then be asked to use some of these adverbs and adverb phrases to tell us their life story using 50 words. They will discuss these in BORs in pairs and return to the main room for an open forum discussion

I will conduct a DEC from sentences I have heard when monitoring them.
