Main Aims

Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-T asks Ss to choose a picture from their mobile photo library -T asks Ss to work in pairs and show it to their partner and answer the following questions 1.What are you doing? 2.What are you wearing? -Ss do the exercise, T monitors -T asks for feedback

Test #1 (4-5 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

-T asks Ss to complete the exercise using simple present or present continuous -Ss do the exercise, T monitors -T checks the answers with the whole class

Teach (4-6 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

-T elicits the form, function, and time words with present continuous -T clarifies them and state verbs

Test #2 (5-8 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test
