Procedure (45-55 minutes)
- T shows ss some problem solving scenarios and asks them to take 2 minutes and answer the questions. - T listens to the ss answers and tells them that we will look at a problem and try to find some solutions.
- T shows ss a picture of a woman who tested positive for covid 19. - T asks students about the problem and symptoms she is having. - Ss mention the symptoms she is facing. - T asks ss to try to help her and suggest some solutions. - T shows ss some advice and asks students to choose the most suitable ones.
- T tells students that there are ways to give advice - T tells ss that we use why do not you?, you should, and haven't you thought about? to give advice. - T shows ss a model of some advice and asks ss to read it carefully.
- T asks students to read the text carefully and try to identify the problem with Ahmad. - Ss read the text and identify the problems with ahmad. - T listens to ss answers and discusses the questions: what is the problem with Ahmad and why is Ahmad writing? - T asks ss to work in pairs and discusses the problems and sets the solution to them. - T supports and emphasizes the ways we use to give advice.
- T sums up by asking ss about the ways we use to give advice. - T writes down some words ss mispronounced and tells them the correct pronunciation. - T gets ss to repeat the words and gives final closure to the session.
