By the end of the lesson learners will have a better understanding of the TL and they will have had practice using the language in the context of homes.

To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of dream homes
Procedure (43-55 minutes)
I will show them 3 pictures of 3 celebrities then say - look at the pictures what do you see? (houses, Madonna, etc.) Eliciting the answer there are 3 celebrities and their houses in the pictures. -Now look at them and discuss which one is your favorite and why?
-Give Ss the instruction "Look for the word "there". Underline those sentences with there. You have 2 minutes. " -Elicit the answer from students. -Give Ss the instruction "Look at these sentences in the text and try to fill in the blanks in this chart. First, do it alone for 2 minutes" -Monitor the Ss and then give the instruction "Now check your sentences with your partner for 1 minute." - Show the answer key on the slide. Ask the students if they have questions. If yes answer them, if no, go onto the next stage.
Show the sentence "There's a garden." Can I say "two gardens" with there is? (no) Why not? (Because it is plural) What can I say with two gardens "there is" or "there are"? "There are". _______ 5 bedrooms in this house. What do I use here? "There is" or "There are"?(There is) Why? (Because it is singular.) There are _______. a swimming pool or two swimming pools? Why? There's a village near the house/ There is a village near the house. Are both the sentences correct? There isn't a dining room in the house. There's not a dining room in the house. Do they both have the same meaning? Drill these sentences: There is a study room in the house. There are two study rooms in the house. There isn't a study room in the house. There aren't any study rooms in the house. Are there any study rooms in the village? Is there a study room in the house?
Show them the slide with activity 6 on page 51. Give the instruction "Fill in the blanks with is there/ are there to complete the questions. You have 2 minutes, alone." Monitor After finishing "Now check your answers with your partner" Get a WC FB. Go on with the second controlled practice from WorkBook. Give the same instructions again. Finish the stage after getting WC FB.
Show them the slide with activity 5 on page 31 from the workbook. Give the instruction "Make sentences using the words in paranthesis as in the examples." Read the example to the Ss "Let's do one more together" "You have 4 minutes, for this activity, alone." Monitor After finishing "Now check your answers with your partner" Get a WC FB.
Put the info cards on the slide. "You will work in pairs." One student will be student A the other will be B. Student A wants to sell the house. Student B wants to buy the house. First, take notes for yourself for 1 minute." Meanwhile, model the first 2 questions with a fast student. "Now talk about the villa." You have 4 minutes. Get WC FB. If there is time left change the roles with the next slide. If there is too little time for it, correct the errors heard during monitoring.
