Main Aims

Subsidiary Aims

Procedure (31-41 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
ask about actions they keep doing all the time especially those that are long and repeated.
Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language
mentioned in the LA sheet
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases
she has been studying English for thirteen years. They have been reading the novel since ten o'clock.
Report (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went
ask students to finish the task I would give them. then check it in pairs. finally, the open class feedback demonstrates and highlights how the task went
Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language
students would be asked to finish task 2 alone , then to check in pairs and finally with the teacher to ask for any ambiguous part.
