Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

For my lead-in, I will put some questions about the main topic of the lesson that it's going to be celebrations worldwide. They will discuss this question in BORs for about 3 to 5 minutes

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

For my exposure or gist task I will make students read a text with relative clauses on it (highlighted) and drop 2 questions: 1. Do you know who Doland Trump is? 2. When was he president of the United States?

Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language

For my MFP section, I will show some google slides showing the M and F but eliciting them to answer alone. the P I will give it while reading the previous text.

Controlled Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

For this stage I will

Freer practice • To provide fluency practice of the target language

For this stage I will ask students : Talk to your partner about someone you admire using relative clauses.
