Description

In this lesson student will learn about new vocabulary in the camp area with family and related activity in the text. Activities are stated in the form of small report and after reading there are some question to check their understanding.

Main Aims

  • To provide 1-comprehension 2-learning new words

Subsidiary Aims

  • 1-correct pronunciation of the words
  • 2-learn how to put words together in a simple present sentence
  • 3-increasing the reading skills

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

At the beginning, we will get start with pre-reading activities to make them ready for reading. first of all, by the help of some pictures and questions related to reading activity for encouraging my student to anticipate the topic or related vocabulary.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will ask him some question about the related subject (camping), then we will review the new words that we worked on before. Subsequently I will read aloud on the passage then I will explain the sentences and reading picture by the help of my student. After that I will read on the passage once more and then the student is asked to read the text in order to check his understanding by answering some question at the end.

Highlighting (3-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will ask him some yes/no, true/false, and WH question about the text for instance: 1-Who is cleaning the tent? 2-Where are they? 3-Are they going to have bread and butter for breakfast? He should refer to passage and follow the regular structure to answer the question.

Clarification (4-5 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

clarification will be done after doing some CCQs. I will check him by asking some question and completing the exercises in book then I will ask him to summarize what he understand from passage

Free Practice (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

In this part we will play games with related words (like Hangman) it would be helpful in dictation, practicing and memorizing new words.
