Students will review and practise prepositions of time and present continuous for future plans. They will listen to people talking about their plans for the weekend, and discuss their own plans.

Procedure

Review homework (15-20 minutes) • Feedback on prepositions of time

Play hangman with an example sentence and elicit correct prepositions. Review online activity Conversation cards or wheel

Future plans - pre-task (5-8 minutes) • To introduce the topic

Ask learners about their plans for the weekend. Introduce the idea of a radio interview

Listening (10-15 minutes)

Listen and complete table - group feedback Play again and complete activity 3 gap fill. Group feedback and concept check on grammar.

Speaking - asking about other people's plans (6-10 minutes) • To practise the third person form of present continuous

Drill question and again in third person. Ask and answer questions about the people interviewed.
