Main Aims

For students to practice the lexical set of places in terms of pronunciation and understanding. Also, to avoid any blocking words for the next task, which is reading a text about a bike ride on The Silk Route
Subsidiary Aims

For Ss to practice speaking in the context of visiting places.
Procedure (44-55 minutes)
_T greets Ss and asks the class these questions: .How do you prefer to travel when you go on holiday? Why? .What do you like to do when you are on holiday? -Ss talk in pairs, and T monitors. -T gets feedback from Ss and comments.
_ T presents the class with pictures and their phonemes of the target vocabulary. _ T asks Ss for pronunciation _ In pairs, Ss will talk about what activities they can do in each place. _T monitors to check the pronunciation and if Ss got the meanings. _ T gives feedback.
_ T will give an example for the class mountain Everest in Himalaya and asks CCQs to check Ss comprehension. _ Ss work in pairs to come up with their own examples. _T need to prepare a map and show the places on the map. _ in the main class, T asks each S individually what new information they found about a place from their partner. _ T gives FB.
_ T will present a crossword puzzle Ss need to do them individually.
_ T gives an example; I like traveling by train. I prefer doing something sporty. I like to visit lake Como in Italy. _T asks ICQs to give direction for the coming writing task. _ T asks Ss to write the sentences like above about a place they like to visit. Ss need to say how they like to go and what they like to do and then name that place and its whereabouts.
_ Ss present their personalized answers from the last task for the whole class. _ T gives FB and praises the S's. _ T names the Ss who used the language correctly. _ T corrects the mistakes at the end without mentioning ant names.
