Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher shares with students the screen and will explain the task. Students will answer the question How can I choose the best travel destination and give some suggestions to 3 different people. (they will respond based on the appearance). Teacher will give a demo and then students will answer the questions on breakout rooms for 2 minutes. After that they will share their answers.

Exposure (5-6 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Teacher will share screen so students can look to the next task. They will listen to the audio and answer the questions individually on google form. After that, students will share their answers with classmates on breakout rooms and later all together.

Clarification (11-13 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Teacher will share screen and show students the next task. By giving a demo teacher will explain to the class that they will do this exercise individually, they have to underline the expressions used to give advice/recommendations. After that they will share their answers in breakout rooms and later altogether. This will prepare students for MFAP part. The next exercise will be a guided discovery task, so teacher will give a demo by sharing screen and answering the first question with students, after that learners will work on pairs on breakout rooms and finally they will share their answers on Open Class Feedback. Then altogether will find the intonation and linking in the expressions shared by the teacher.

Controlled Practice (5-6 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Teacher will share screen with students and give a demostration by doing with students the first exercise of the task. Then Individually they will answer the other questions and then share their answers on breakout rooms.

Free Practice (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Teacher will share screen to the students and explain the conversation task. Teacher will give a demostration by practicing with one student before sending all the class on breakout rooms. Teacher will share a link for jamboard and there students will be able to see the role play activity. After that students will share the advices given by their classmates. (they will do this task with 2 different people)

Feedback and Error Correction (2-3 minutes) • To provide feedback on students production and use of language

Teacher will give students a google form and ask students to correct the sentences, they will do this task in teams, and later they will share in Open Class Feedback
