Procedure (45 minutes)
INSTRUCTIONS: T ask students engaging questions: Have you been on all four forms of travel? Which do you prefer? How often do you use each and why? Can you remember any interesting stories while you were in one of these? My example: I have traveled on all four, and I have at least one crazy story for each. DEMO: In BOR, students discuss. (2 minutes) Nominate two students to talk about what was discussed in BOR.
INSTRUCTIONS: in BORs, students match the appropriate reaction to the story on Jamboard. (2 minutes) T shows answers, OCFB
Meaning: Jamboard activity INSTRUCTIONS: Choose the correct meaning for the highlighted phrase. Work individually (2 minutes). then OCFB. DEMO: T moves correct sticky note to the sentence Form: Jamboard activity T chooses one or two sentences to show difference in sentences that have negative vs positive connotation. Pronunciation: on Jamboard Elicit sentence stress from students.
INSTRUCTIONS: Pair interview. In BOR, students will ask each other a series of questions and react to the responses accordingly. The questions will discuss an event in order (first. . then. . in the end). -When was the last time you have been on an airplane/boat/train/bus? -Where did you go? -Did anything delay your arrival to the station/stop/airport? -Were there a lot of people on the bus/train/boat/airplane? Each student has 7 minutes to interview. Nominate 1-2 students to tell their story.
