To provide fluency speaking practice in a pair discussion in the context of free day out activities
Procedure (35-45 minutes)
1.T will write some cities' names on w/b. 2.T will ask Ss "in which country is London, New York, etc?" and "if you have one free day which city will you spend your time in?". 3.T will ask Ss to discuss in pairs which city they would like to spend their free days in and what activities they can do there. 4.T will ask Ss for content feedback.
1.T will inform Ss that they will listen to a radio program talking about free activities in London for a day out to set the specific context 2.T will pre-teach the words "ID" with realia, "parliament" with a picture, "downloadable" with context and "trial" with context. 3. T will write the pre-taught words on w/b.
1.T will ask Ss to listen to the audio and put the points mentioned in order. 2.T will ask Ss some ICQs such as : are you going to listen to specific words? 3.T will play the first few seconds of the audio to check up on the volume and to answer the first question with the Ss as a demo. 4.T will ask Ss to check their answers in pairs. 5.T will divide Ss into two groups, give each group the points written on colorful paper and ask them to come to the board and put them in the correct order. 6. T will provide feedback for task 1 on w/b.
1.T will ask Ss to listen again, tick true or false and correct the false ones. 2.T will ask ICQs such as: are you going to listen to specific information? 3.T will play the first few seconds to answer 1 with the Ss. 4.T will ask Ss to check their answers in pairs. 5.T will provide feedback on PPT.
1.T will ask Ss to discuss in groups of three what activities they can suggest for a tourist in Egypt. 2.T will monitor Ss while speaking to detect any mistakes. 3.T will ask Ss for content feedback. 4.T will provide error correction.
