Procedure (87-120 minutes)
T welcomes Ss to class. T asks how Ss are, if they have any questions or concerns about the course materials, platforms, etc. T and Ss chat informally as all Ss arrive to Teams platform.
T gets Ss attention. T nominates S: “what did we work on in last Saturday’s class?” - We watched a video about how Brits say ‘no’ - We talked about different ways to say ‘yes’ in the workplace - We did several listening and role play exercises - We started talking about exchanging contact information - We did several listening and role play exercises re: exchanging info and worked on roles plays to be assessed T nominates S: “did we have any work suggested for homework?” [no]
T gets Sst attention. T nominates Ss to continue role play exercise for. assessment beginning with Group 3: Erwin, Raquel & Angelica Ss perform their role play while T assesses and makes notes.

T gets Ss attention. T shows slide 5 with Unit 2 Sample Email and nominates Ss to read it aloud. T shows British Council Business English > English for Emails > Unit 5: Making Arrangements https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/business-english/english-for-emails/unit-5-making-arrangements and asks Ss to work in pairs/small groups for 5 minutes to complete the tasks. T assigns partners/groups. ICQ: Are we working individually? [no, in pairs] ICQ: how many minutes do we have to work together? [5 minutes] T sends pairs to channels. T monitors and takes note of language for feedback and DEC. T calls Ss back to main session and nominates Ss to share answers in OCF.
