Procedure (41-46 minutes)
INSTRUCTIONS: T starts the lesson by asking learners the opening Question: "Is it a good idea to give advice to your younger self?" Ss work in pairs in BOR discussing 3 questions for 3 min: “Do you feel happy?”, "If you had a possibility to change something, would you use this chance?", "Is it a good idea to give advice to your younger self?" DEMO: T starts the presentation T gives instructions and sends Ss to BOR T elicits suggestions from students
INSTRUCTIONS: T asks Ss to brainstorm what they would say to their younger selves Provide as many ideas as possible T gives link to menti.com on chatbox T shows answers then OCFB (2 min) T elicits from Ss and summarizes content.
MEANING: INSTRUCTIONS: T reminds Ss conditional sentences, asks CCQs DEMO: T demos the grammar rules on the screen and gives instructions. OCFB FORM T shows slides and elicits the differences between the four types of conditional sentences OCFB PRONUNCIATION T asks Ss to pronounce the examples with the correct sentence stress
Speaking task 1 T instructs Ss to work in pairs or groups of 3 and discuss the question: "What advice would you give to your younger self?" using the phrases on the slide and in order to keep the conversation going they should ask follow up questions. DEMO: T demos with one student and asks follow up questions. Speaking task 2 T mixes Ss, instructs them to work in pairs or groups of 3 and discuss the 6 statements on the slide, then sends them to BOR again.
