Students will read the provided text for gist and match the paragraph heading to each paragraph of the text. This will be conducted individually, followed by pairs checking their answers. Following this we will have feedback.
Students will first match the meaning to the prefix and provide the example from the text. Then we will review the pronunciation and explain that forms do not change when a prefix is added.
Students will complete a fill in the blank worksheet where they will practice adding prefixes to words. They will complete this individually and then compare answers in pairs. Following this, feedback will be conducted.
Students will work together in breakout rooms to fill in the blank with the right prefix to form a sentence. After each sentence, they will ask each other the question and then answer the question. Following this, we will conduct feedback.
We will conduct delayed error correction to correct any mistakes observed of the students.
