Procedure (32-45 minutes)
T presents 2 pictures and tells students that they are people who appeared on the news. T asks "Why did they appear on the news?" After Ss give some ideas, T plays an audio and see if the guesses were correct.
T gives students a google's form where they need to complete the functional language listening to the audio from the lead in. Ss peer check. T conducts OCFB.
Meaning: T gives Ss a Jamboard where Ss have to put the functional language in the right cathegory: Quoting from source, giving your own view, being vague. Ss do the task in pairs. T conducs CCQs: When you quote from the source, are you ginging your own opinion? NO. When you are using the "giving your own view" vocabulary, is that your personal opinion? YES When you are being vague, do you have the exact information? NO 4 min Form: Students select the correct sentence. T provides 2 sentence, 1 with the correct form and the other with the incorrect form. CCQs. When we give opinions, do we ussually say nouns or adjectives? Adjectives. 3min Pronunciation. Students select where the stress is in the sentence. T shows the correct stress and other sentence with incorrect stress. T does choral drilling and then individual 3min
T gives Ss a link for quizzis where they will answer some questions about the vocabulary in class. T provides OCFB.
T divides the class in 2 groups. T gives a different story to each group and they have to read it . 3 min. T divides students in pairs and they retell eachother the story that they read. 10 min. DEC 2 min
