Procedure

Lead in (5-5 minutes) • To set lesson tone and engage students and generate interest

- T shares a Google Jamboard slide with the question, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" - T has Ss post their answers via sticky note function - T asks Ss about their answers

Introduce TL Gist Task (7-7 minutes) • To provide a model of the TL in use to set up context for the lesson

- T shares a Google Sites page with a text with questions for Ss to read and answer individually - T sends Ss into breakout rooms in order to discuss their answers briefly - T brings Ss back into main session and discusses their answers together

Language Analysis (10-10 minutes) • Review MFP for TL

- T shares a Google Slides presentation reviewing the MFP for the future perfect - T asks CCQs such as: "What is the past participle of ______?" "Which part of the sentence would be stressed?" "Does 'have' change to 'has' if the subject changes?"

Controlled Practice (10-10 minutes) • To practice creating unique sentences using TL

- T shares a Google Slides slide as well as a Google Sites page with a slide containing words that Ss must use to make into sentences - Ss work individually for a set amount of time, then T puts Ss into breakout rooms to discuss their answers - T brings Ss back into main session in order to discuss their answers

Free Practice (8-8 minutes) • To allow students to practice TL freely through the use of open ended questions

- T shares a link to a Google Slides presentation where the questions, "What will have happened to you ... by next year?" by 2025?" by 2050?" are posted - T sends Ss into breakout rooms to discuss their answers with each other - T brings Ss back into main session for class feedback

Feedback and DEC (5-5 minutes) • Feedback on the free practice and delayed error correction

- T provides feedback on free practice and corrects any mistakes observed throughout the lesson through DEC
