Procedure (89-120 minutes)
T welcomes Ss to class. T asks how Ss are, if they have any questions or concerns about the course materials, platforms, etc. T and Ss chat informally as all Ss arrive to Teams platform.
T gets Ss attention. T nominates S: “what did we work on in Tuesday’s class?” - We looked at the guidelines for teleconferencing - We listened to some excerpts of a teleconference and discussed if the participants were following the guidelines - We practised planning and role playing a teleconference T nominates S: “did we have any work suggested for self-study?” - yes, looking at review the use of pronouns https://www.grammar-quizzes.com/pronounsum.html T: “Did anyone have a chance to have a look it?” T: “Great, then you’ll be especially ready for today’s class!” T leads Ss in pronunciation drill of words from last class [Pronunciation: concise; digressing; consensus; field]

T gets Ss attention. T shows slide 3 (p. 34 #1) T nominates Ss to read instructions. T shows slides 4-7 with audio script 4.2, and instructs Ss that they can also find this in their SBs on p.148. T nominates Ss to do one example together. T instructs Ss that they will be working in groups for 8 minutes to complete the exercise. T assigns groups. ICQ: are we working in groups? T leads Ss through slides 9-17 (adapted from grammar reference on p.128) nominating Ss to guess the blank, then revealing it, to make clarification more interactive.
