Procedure (41-41 minutes)
- T show Qs in Google Jamboard and tells students to spend a few minutes in BREAKOUT talking about these questions (coping with difficulties/make a sacrifice) with their peers - Copy Qs into chatbox - Put students in BREAKOUT rooms - OCFB nominate a 2 students to share (maybe one for each Q)
- T opens up Google Forms with text - Explain to students that they need to read text individually, then answer the gist question "what is the text about" - Then read the excerpts and ID the verb-noun collocations - T copies link into chatbox - 3 MIN - the breakout - then OCFB review
- Share screen "MFP" Google Slide - Elicit responses to the "meaning" questions on the bottom of each slide - Then model pronunciation, ask Ss where the sentence stress is (meaning words) - Then choral drilling and some individual drilling - do this for each slide - Clarify form all together at the end for verb-noun collocations...first by eliciting the part of speech (verb) and (noun or noun phrase) - allow students to discover form
- T shares screen with "Controlled Practice" Google Form. - T copies link to chatbox and confirms that they can see it - 3 MIN max individually - Then Ss work in pairs via privarte chat to check answers - OCFB
- T copies TP3 Freer Practice Qs into chatbox - Explains that students are to discuss these questions in the BreakOut room - T monitiors and notes any points for discussion in DEC - OCFB - nominate a few groups to share their answers - DEC
