Procedure (36-43 minutes)
Ask the Ss: When was the last time that you applied for a job? How was your experience? The Ss will share their experiences in groups. Time management: Ask questions 1 min—group sharing 2mins.
T will show the Ss and ad of a job application. Then the Ss in groups will be shown a possible candidate's CV and infer by looking for specific information within the CV if they think the candidate qualifies for the job or not. https://forms.gle/wxDVGjPnRthLc4Nw8 Time management: - T gives instructions: 2 mins - Ss read CV, ad, and answer questionnaire: 4 mins. - T leads OCFB: 2mins.
The Ss will work individually and then in groups using a spreadsheet to figure out the meaning and appropriacy of the useful language for 3 minutes. Ss will now write their own CV or one for someone they know well. They can use the sample CV as a reference and the words from the previous exercise. After they finish, they will compare their CV with their peers and ask follow-up questions. The T will finish the class by sharing the good use of language he noticed during his observation of the productive task.
