Procedure (33-43 minutes)
Ask SS: Do men like shopping? - 1st slide: Mall of Arabia, Lead-in questions: What can you find in this place? SS probably say clothes, shops (elicit from ss), all vocab they use in daily lives.
(Ex.1)-Choose from the list and put (✓). - Do you like shopping? Choose what do you like to buy? -Do it alone/ then check your answers in pairs. I.C.Qs: Are you working together or alone? will you write anything or just put (✓)? demo with ss the first example. Ex. 1.c: Listen and match with pictures I.C.Qs: Are you matching or writing? Alone or together? Alone demo with the class the first example. (1-D) SS check their answers in pairs. -provide the ss with the answer key. Ex( 1.d): Listen and complete with a verb again I.C.Q: will you read or listen? will you choose or complete? Work alone then in pairs to check answers. answer key.
Ex. 2.a: complete the chart with one of the verbs. from ex 1.d: demo with the class first example. Ex. 2.c: review the form with ss, now write 3 sentences with like/don't like - love/hate. work alone, then check your answers in pairs. Demo with ss the first sentence.
