Procedure (34-51 minutes)
- T presents four abstract maps of city metro systems with hints - Ss guess which cities the maps are of
- T presents the word 'smart' and asks Ss what is meant - Elicit: If someone is smart, are they knowledgable? Do we think Mahmoud is smart because he wears glasses? Can it also mean something about how someone is dressed? - T shows images of traffic to elicit congestion and chaotic, CCTV to elicit monitor - T asks what word can we use to describe these sorts of places? (urban) - T points out tall buildings to elicit high rises - T shows a picture of Bosco vertical in Milan to elicit sustainable (not causing damage to the environment
After eliciting new words, follow up with drilling, writing the word on the board and highlighting the stress
