Procedure (27-52 minutes)
I tell one of my students come on the board and read the sentence on the board and when he is reading the sentence ,I asks the other students :"what is he doing?" and I say to them immediately "he is reading". or I tell Sara to speak some thing and I ask the other students "what are you doing?" and say to them immediately, "you are listening."
I say to my students ,"listen to me and answer immediately ,Is it true or false ? Sara is read or Sara is reading .
I show the students some flashcards. In every flashcard there is a picture of boy or a girl or they or it ,doing an action "A boy is brushing the teeth, A girl is writing ,a man is walking, they are running, the cat is eating . at first I ask "what is he doing?" I say" brush", :brushing, he is brushing the teeth. and repeat after me.
I ask some questions to the students, for example: Oh, students "Are you driving now?" After a short pause, I ask "Am I driving now ? and I say again "No" , "No", "I`m not driving". Then, I bring the pictures for example: (playing) I ask " Is he eating food?" No, He is not eating food.
Point out the rule :I form the present continuous tense with the verb "to be" and an active verb with an " _ ing" ending. (write on the board "present continuous tense : I am reading am + read + ing
There are some pieces of paper that are fold them which make them in possible to see and read the content. content: they are some simple verbs which picture. Teacher asks the students to stand up and choose a piece of paper. Then I divide them into 2 member groups. ( per work). Take turns through pantomime . There are 2 types of clarification : 1.per work 2.whole work group pantomime. the students guess.
I write the wrong sentences that students have in previous stage and correct them in group . I ask the students to look at the sentences on the board. "I am drive" or " I am driving" "she are" or " she is"
At first, I give assignments to the students. Then, I show them 10 verbs with their pictures. Next, I want them to write 3 sentences for each verb. when they write their sentences I want them to move their papers and change their friends` sentences to negative form and correct their friends` paper.
