To provide an opportunity for learners to practice speaking skills in context of things in a home
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Ask learners to compare with a partner in private messaging what kinds of things they have in their home. Ask learners to describe where those items are found.
Learners complete Handout 1 individually, filling in the preposition of place that best completes each sentence. Learners compare their answers in pairs via private messaging. Discussion. OCFD to review answers.
Review of Google Slides 1-6 with target language, visuals, and examples provided. Ask students to take turns pronouncing the word and reading the example provided. Plan to review quickly due to 6 slides to review and learners having background of understanding.
Learners complete Handout 2 individually. To do this they need to look at a picture and use the words provided to them to form complete sentences using the target language they will need to choose correctly. 5-7 mins Pair check in private messaging (3 mins) OCFD (2 mins)
